First walk into Northern Lights Casino

A first visit to Northern Lights Casino starts with a SIGA Rewards card shown to Security at the door. The check below tells you what happens in your case, card or no card.

One card for every guest

Every guest shows a SIGA Rewards card to Security on the way in. You then check in, either by swiping the card at the Security podium or at the guest registration kiosk. That happens on every visit, not only the first.

No card yet, or left it at home? Security sends you to the SIGA Rewards desk. Staff there set up a new card for you, or print a fresh one if you forgot yours. After that you check in and walk onto the floor. Getting the card costs nothing, and the same card works at all seven SIGA casinos.

At the kiosk the casino records only your first name, last name, SIGA Rewards number and the time and date you came in. It keeps this for internal use and does not share it with third parties.

  1. At the doorEvery guest shows a SIGA Rewards card to Security and checks in at the podium or the kiosk.
  2. No card yetSecurity sends you to the SIGA Rewards desk to sign up, or to get a new card printed.
  3. Age19 or older. Which ID the desk asks for is not published: call 306-764-4777.

Nineteen and over

Guests must be 19 or older, and 19 is also the legal gambling age across Saskatchewan. At SIGA casinos anyone under 19 is a prohibited individual, as is anyone who has been excluded. Prohibited individuals cannot receive winnings.

Which ID the SIGA Rewards desk asks for is not something the casino publishes. We would rather not guess. If you are unsure what to bring, call Northern Lights Casino at 306-764-4777 before you leave home.

House rules to know

Drinks may not be carried into the casino from outside, for any reason. A coffee in a travel mug counts too, so finish it in the car first. Panhandling and solicitation are not allowed. The casino also has zero tolerance for harassment or abuse.

Keep an eye on your coat, phone and wallet, because the casino is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The casino does not publish a dress code either.

Taking a break from all nine casinos

SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion is requested at any SIGA casino, including Northern Lights. It lasts from 6 months to 5 years, depending on the term chosen. During that time the person is banned from all nine Saskatchewan casinos, not only the SIGA ones. Nobody can enrol someone else. The free Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-306-6789, answers 24 hours a day.

Questions first-timers ask

I have never been before. Can I still get in?

Yes, if you are 19 or older. Without a card, Security sends you to the SIGA Rewards desk to get one, then you check in and go in.

Does the SIGA Rewards card cost anything?

The card is free to get, and the same card works at all seven SIGA casinos.

Can I bring my own coffee or drink in?

Drinks may not be carried into the casino from outside, for any reason. Finish yours before you reach the door.

What gets written down when I check in?

Only your first name, last name, SIGA Rewards number and the time and date of entry. The casino keeps it for internal use and does not share it with third parties.
